You’ve probably heard of the Boddington Lions Rodeo, Western Australia’s largest annual rodeo, but Boddington hosts a number of events throughout the year that draw crowds from all over Perth and Southern Western Australia. Check out the full calendar of events below.

Boddington Community Markets at the Old School Oval

Boddington Community Markets

The Boddington Community Markets are held on the first Sunday of every month at the old school oval. The markets offer hot coffee, sweet treats, unique crafts and live music from a range of small local businesses.

South32 Summer by the River

March 2024

South32 Summer by the River celebrates the end of summer each year by taking in the riverside ambience of Boddington’s iconic Hotham Park. The evening festivities are jam-packed with live music, entertainment and food vans for the whole family!

Come together along the Hotham River for a night to remember, presented by the Shire of Boddington and South32 Worsley Alumina.

Quindanning Picnic Races

March 2024

The Quindanning Picnic Races were originally founded in 1919, when locals took their horse and carts down for an afternoon of entertainment. The races disbanded for a few decades after WWII, and were resurrected on New Years day 1979.

Today, the Quindanning Picnic Races run every Easter with a myriad of events throughout the day.

Boddington Field of Quilts

Field of Quilts

Come and see a plethora of colourful quilts swaying in the breeze in an outdoor setting and shop at many stalls for patchwork goodies, giftware, and plants. Light lunch, morning and afternoon tea and drinks available.

Break-away Roping at Boddington Lions Rodeo

November 2024

Since its inception in 1976, the Boddington Lions Club has successfully run the Lions Rodeo annually on the first Saturday in November. Recognised as the largest Rodeo in Western Australia the Rodeo Weekend has something in store for everyone. Arts and crafts exhibitions, wine and evenings, street performers and carnival rides.
