You’ve probably heard of the Boddington Lions Rodeo, Western Australia’s largest annual rodeo, but Boddington hosts a number of events throughout the year that draw crowds from all over Perth and Southern Western Australia. Check out the full calendar of events below.
September 2024
Join us for the upcoming 23rd Field of Quilts festival. Experience the intricate designs of handmade quilts, explore diverse market stalls, enjoy a delicious lunch, and admire the Classic Car and Motorcycle display.
Feature quilter, Greg Critchley from Handcrafters House – the patchworking, quilting and sewing experts in Midland – will be displaying and operating long-arm quilting machines.
Don’t miss the raffle draw on the event day, with tickets priced at $2 each or $5 for three. The draw will take place at 2.30 pm.

October 2024
The Boddington Community Markets are held on the first Sunday of every month at the old school oval. The markets offer hot coffee, sweet treats, unique crafts and live music from a range of small local businesses.

November 2024
Since its inception in 1976, the Boddington Lions Club has successfully run the Lions Rodeo annually on the first Saturday in November. Recognised as the largest Rodeo in Western Australia the Rodeo Weekend has something in store for everyone. Arts and crafts exhibitions, wine and evenings, street performers and carnival rides.

April 2025
The Quindanning Picnic Races were originally founded in 1919, when locals took their horse and carts down for an afternoon of entertainment. The races disbanded for a few decades after WWII, and were resurrected on New Years day 1979.
Today, the Quindanning Picnic Races run every Easter with a myriad of events throughout the day.
